Last night the Cathedral of Mallorca hosted a performance of 'Mozart’s Requiem’, a very special concert, the proceeds of which will go in full to Projecte Home Balears, an organisation that offers help, prevention and research in the field of addiction.
The stars of this musical event were the Balearic Islands Symphonic Orchestra, conducted by Pablo Mielgo, as well as the choir of the University of the Balearic Islands, led by Joan Company, with the collaboration of the choir of the University of Valladolid. The concert featured performances by the soprano Karina Flores, the mezzosoprano Anna Pennisi, the tenor Francisco Corujo and the bass Simón Orfila.
As is now traditional, Queen Sofia was loyal to the event and once again attended this concert that is held every year on the first Monday of Holy Week in the Cathedral of Mallorca.
