Reopening Schedule

The Cathedral of Mallorca establishes a schedule during these de-escalation period, in addition to the health prevention measures that must be followed when going to both the offices and the Eucharistic celebrations.

Due to the extraordinary need to take containment measures in front of COVID-19 and the need to return to daily life in a progressive and gradual way, we present below the hours of attention to the public of our offices, as well as the hours of mass and opening of the cathedral and archive.

The Seo offices resume telephone and face-to-face service, as well as establishing preferential service hours for people over 65 years of age. As long as the alarm status remains, any query related to the Pastoral area can be made during the following public service hours:

  • Telephone attention:

Monday to Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

  • Face-to-face attention:

Monday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

  • Preferential hours for people over 65:

Monday and Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

To guarantee the health of citizens, when attending face-to-face, it will be essential that users keep the safety distances between them (2 meters), no more than 3 people will be admitted to the office facilities. Similarly, the use of gloves and masks will be compulsory and it will be prohibited to provide physical documentation.

As stated in phase 1 of the de-escalation, the celebration of masses will be admitted at 30% of their capacity. The schedules will be maintained, but there will be no chant of Lauds for reasons of health prevention.

  • Conventual Mass: Monday to Friday at 9:00 a.m.
  • Saturdays: 09: 00h / 19: 00h.
  • Sundays and holidays: 10:30 a.m. / 12:00 p.m. / 7:00 p.m.

Similarly, a series of measures must be followed to prevent the transmission of the disease by using the following means:

  1. There will be a strict control of the capacity.
  2. The temperature will be measured before entering the temple.
  3. There will only be one entrance door, the Almoina door, which will have an entrance and an exit place.
  4. Inside the Cathedral we will find hydroalcoholic gel.
  5. According to the stipulated order, each bank has a signal for parishioners to maintain the safe distance.

For the celebration of the sacraments of penance, the hours will be from Monday to Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday will take place half an hour before mass and Sunday will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. at 19:00. In addition, from Monday to Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. the Blessed Sacrament will be exhibited.

During this de-escalation the Cathedral will be open from Monday to Saturday from 08:30 to 12:00 and from 18:00 to 20:00 and on Sundays from 09:30 to 13:00 but not for tourist visits.
