Opening hours for the Cathedral of Mallorca

After the closure decreed by the state of emergency on 13 March, the Cathedral is now beginning to resume its activities slowly. Below you can consult all the opening hours.

Opening hours for visits:

After recommencing visits, the Cathedral of Mallorca will remain open to the public from 10am to 2.15pm from Monday to Saturday.

Mass times:

The times for attending conventual mass and Sunday mass are as follows:

  • From Monday to Friday: 9am.

*The celebration includes Morning Prayer (Lauds).

  • Saturdays: 9am / 7pm
  • Sundays and festivals: 9:55am Morning Prayer (Lauds) / 10.30am / 12pm / 7pm

Those who wish to take Holy Communion should do so in an orderly fashion. Stewards will ensure that everything runs smoothly and indicate when rows of pews should move forwards so that the faithful can receive Holy Communion at the foot of the main altar.

Terraces opening hours:

Guided visits to the terraces remain cancelled until we are able to return to complete normality.

Office opening hours:

The Cathedral’s offices are open from 9am to 1pm from Monday to Thursday to attend to the public both by telephone and in person.

Archive opening hours:

From 7th July the Chapter Archive of Mallorca will reopen its doors from 10am to 2pm from Tuesday to Thursday and access will be via the Almoina door. Please consult all the safety measures here.

Pastoral support:

Pastoral support is available every Wednesday (with the exception of feast days) from 6pm to 7.30pm.

Safety measures:

To enter the Cathedral these safety measures will be followed:   

  • The Cathedral’s capacity will be 75%, in accordance with guidance from the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism.
  • At the entrance you will have your temperature taken and if it is over 37.2 ᵒC you will not be permitted to enter.
  • There is only one entry point, the Almoina door, with the entrance on one side and exit on the other.
  • Wearing a mask is compulsory.
  • Inside the Cathedral there are hand sanitiser stations.
  • In accordance with the regulations, on each pew there will be signs to ensure that the congregation maintains a safe distance.
